Police Blotter: Warrant Arrest, Property Damage, Driving Under Influence

Monday, June 27

Warrant arrest

Jakkar Gaylyn Hosey, 21, of the 1300 block of E. Wilson, Batavia, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. in the 700 block of S. Route 59 and charged on a warrant out of Will County, police said. He was taken to the Will County Jail, according to police.

Driving under the influence

Victor Alfons Sanchez, 23, of the 4900 block of Keller Street, Lisle was arrested at 4:40 a.m. in the 1500 block of N. Naper Boulevard, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Driving without license

Cosme Ortega, 19, of the 800 block of Benedetti Drive was arrested at 11:35 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Ewing Street and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license and having no rear illumination of the license plate.

Property damage

At 9:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Spring Avenue it was reported that a piece of blacktop was thrown through the overhead garage door window, police said.

A 53-year-old man in the 800 block of Greenwood Circle reported that a vehicle parked overnight had a piece of asphalt thrown at the vehicle’s windshield damaging it sometime between Sunday and 11:28 a.m. Monday, police said.

A 47-year-old man in the 500 block of Eagle Brook Lane reported Monday that between 9 p.m. June 20 and 7 a.m. June 21 his mailbox was damaged, police said. He reported the incident after receiving a letter from the homeowners' association regarding filing reports for such incidents.

Fraud

A 59-year-old woman in the 100 block of Claremont Drive said that someone misrepresented himself as a donation collector for the Illinois Firefighters Association and received a check for $20, according to police.

Suspicious incident

A 23-year-old man in the 2500 block of Eldorado Lane reported that his unlocked vehicle was rummaged through but nothing was missing, police said. The incident happened between 11 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.
