Friday, Oct. 7 

Beatles and Pink Floyd Tribute

The scoop: The students from the will be putting on a show including music from two of the greatest rock bands of all time. Pull up a seat, enjoy some food and apps but don’t get too comfortably numb.

‘Heroes helping kids heal’ fundraiser

The scoop: The Naperville Professional Firefighters and the Naperville Fire Department, Local 4302 have teamed up with for a fundraiser happening all day Friday. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of the entire day’s proceeds to Camp “I Am Me,” a camp for children who are burn victims.

Inside info: Expect to be waited on by a firefighter and there will also be $5 appetizers and 50/50 raffles.

Saturday, Oct. 8

Ghost stories in the park

The scoop: The and the Summer Place theater will be sharing some spooky ghost stories at this event taking place along the Riverwalk.

Inside info: The performances will be held several times during October. Attendees must be over 5 years old to attend. 

Jim Gill’s Family Room

The scoop: Families are invited to enjoy Jim Gill’s Family Room tour as it comes to . The is hosting this event, which is $3 per ticket.

Inside info: Bring your own seating. Reservations are required and all funds will be donated to One Day’s Wages, The Horn of Africa Relief Fund.

Assistive technology resource fair

The scoop: The municipal center is the site of this event, which will feature dozens of vendors demonstrating different types of assistive technology and devices available.

Inside info: There will be educational presentations during the event. 

Sunday, Oct. 9

Celebrate Dick Tracy’s 80th birthday

The scoop: Artist Dick Locher will be on hand at the for this conversation about the cartoon character Dick Tracy.

Inside info: There will be birthday treats and a detective game as part of the event.

Danada Fall Festival

The scoop: There will be lots of horsing around at this event at the equestrian center. Horses will be on hand as well as the Danada volunteer musical horseback drill team.

Inside info: Children will be able to decorate paper hobbyhorses, play in the straw pen, paint pumpkins, climb up a tall oak tree get their faces painted. 

17th Annual Luminary Mass

The scoop: will host this annual outdoor event in which Mass is held outdoors in the grotto.
