3 Charged In Overnight Cell Phone Store Burglary: New Lenox Police

Three Texas men face charges following a burglary at an AT&T store in the early morning hours Saturday.

NEW LENOX, IL — Three men face charges and a fourth remains at large after an overnight burglary at a cell phone store in New Lenox early Saturday, police said.

Terrell I. Edwards, 29, Jonathan L. Jones, 25, and Recoe Patterson, 28, all of Waco, Texas, were each charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of criminal damage to property, and two counts of possession of stolen property. Police allege the three forced entry into a dispensary in the 700 block of Lincoln Highway around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, then gaining entry into an adjoining AT&T store.

The three stole cell phones and money from the cell phone store. No alarms went off notifying the police department of the burglary, police said.

The investigation is still ongoing. Police believe at least one more person may have been involved. That person remains at large.
