Bomb Threat To Silver Cross Hospital A Hoax: New Lenox Police

A caller said there were multiple bombs on the campus and that they would detonate within minutes of the call.

NEW LENOX, IL — A bomb threat called into Silver Cross late Tuesday night was found to be not credible, New Lenox police determined soon after the call.

A caller around 10:30 p.m. said they had planted bombs at the hospital campus, and that they were set to detonate within 20 minutes. Hospital administration put the campus on lockdown, and bomb-sniffing dogs were called to the scene, said New Lenox Police Chief Louis Alessandrini.

No explosives were found on the campus. The hospital was given the all-clear around 1:30 a.m.
