Car Thief Stole SUV From Gas Station After Driver Left Keys in Vehicle: Cops
The driver went inside to buy some stuff, police said.

NEW LENOX, IL — A quick-thinking car thief made off with an SUV after the driver left her keys in the car while she went into the gas station to buy some stuff, police said.
The woman had just pumped gas into her Chevy Traverse at the Speedway on Route 30 near Nelson Road about 11 p.m. Friday, and then went inside the gas station to make additional purchases, police said.
When she came back out, the car was reportedly gone.

The case was forwarded to the department’s detectives.
