DUI, Retail Thefts: New Lenox Police Reports

New Lenox Police reports Sept. 30 through Oct. 7.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.

Oct. 1

  • Armando Padilla, 37, of Romeoville, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle in traffic with an equipment violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, Padilla. The officer learned that Padilla had a suspended driver’s license. Padilla was transported to the NLPD. Padilla posted bond and was released.

  • Richard E. Koschetz, 25, of New Lenox, was charged with DUI. According to police reports, An officer was dispatched to the area of Laraway Road and Jackson Branch Drive in reference to a reckless driver complaint. Upon arrival, the officer found a vehicle in the ditch and the driver, Koschetz, walking on the roadway. The officer learned that Koschetz was driving under the influence of alcohol. Koschetz was taken into custody and transported to the NLPD. Koschetz posted bond and was released.

Oct. 3

  • Rudolfo J. Gonzalez, 40, of Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and Gougar Road for an accident investigation. The officer met with Gonzalez, who was one of the parties involved. The officer learned that Gonzalez had a suspended driver’s license. Gonzalez was transported to the NLPD. Gonzalez posted bond and was released.

  • Tyler Dawkins, 21, of Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle in traffic with expired registration. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Dawkins. The officer learned that Dawkins had a suspended driver’s license and a valid warrant out of DuPage County. Dawkins was transported to the NLPD. Dawkins posted bond and was released.
  • Jacqueline L. Drechsel, 43, of Frankfort, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a retail theft complaint. The officer met with the caller and learned that Drechsel had taken approximately $154.05 worth of merchandise from the store. Drechsel was transported to the NLPD. Drechsel posted bond and was released.
  • Jennifer T. Rapp, 45, of New Lenox, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a retail theft complaint. The officer met with the caller and learned that Rapp had taken approximately $179.30 worth of merchandise from the store. Rapp was transported to the NLPD. Rapp posted bond and was released.
