Easter 2022: What's Hop-ening In New Lenox?

Easter is April 17, but that's not stopping some New Lenox organizations from hosting Easter-themed events earlier than that.

NEW LENOX, IL — Spring has sprung in New Lenox, and Easter is right around the corner. That means it's time for egg decorating, egg hunts, visits from the Eater bunny and more in New Lenox. While Easter isn't until April 17, there are plenty of Easter-themed events happening in town before then. Patch is keeping a list of where to find kid and family-friendly events in town. Check out some of the events in the list below.


  • New Lenox Community Park District Barks & Brews & Dog Egg Hunt, Firefighters Park, 1 Manor Drive - April 10 from noon to 2 p.m. Bring your four-legged friend out to find the eggs filled with dog treats. And there will be treats for adult humans, too, with alcoholic drinks available for purchase during the event. All dogs must be kept on a leash.
  • New Lenox Public Library Easter Candy Basket Teen Take and Make, 120 Veterans Parkway - April 12-16 during library hours. Get everything you need to make candy Easter baskets, with theater candy boxes. Fun to make and great as gifts or holiday decor. Available at the Adult & Teen Services desk while supplies last.
