Why Are You Seeking Office?
It is an honor and privilege to serve the Lincoln Way community as a high school board member. I wish to continue my service for I believe in the values that make Lincoln-Way the excellent district it is.
What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?
I believe my background in both business and education aids in my duty as a board member.
What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I believe the transition will be smooth. Dr. Tingley knows the culture of Lincoln Way and understands the board's commitment to continue academic improvement while maintaining fiscal responsibility. He will have worked with Dr. Wyllie for six months prior to Dr. Wyllie's retirement. It goes without saying, Dr. Wyllie will be missed; our district will be in the competent hands of Dr. Tingley.
How do you envision the transition from Supt. Lawrence Wyllie to Supt. Scott Tingley?
Finances; it is the same challenge facing all school districts. The academic achievement of our students has continued to increase while our per pupil expenditure has decreased! The district will continue the excellence that our community expects while being fiscally responsible.
What's the biggest challenge facing LWHS D210?
Technology has been and will continue to be an important component in the education of Lincoln Way students. Our teachers continually strive to enhance the educational experiences of our students with the use of technology.
