Handgun Stolen From Inside Locked Car: New Lenox PD

NEW LENOX, IL — A handgun was stolen from inside a car overnight Sept. 15, the owner told police.

Police were called to the 1900 block of Heatherway Lane, for a report of burglary to a motor vehicle. The owner told police that someone had stolen a handgun from inside their vehicle while it was parked overnight.

The victim told police that the vehicle was locked, but a window was left open. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle, police said.
