Jewel Shines, Croons To Thousands At New Lenox Triple Play
Singer/songwriter Jewel took the stage at the New Lenox Commons Saturday, June 17, in the second show of the Triple Play concert series.
NEW LENOX, IL — A crowd of thousands sang along with headliner Jewel Saturday in New Lenox, as the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter delivered on her hits, and gave fans a taste of newer material.
The second headliner in New Lenox's Triple Play concert series, Jewel filled the stage with her voice and candor, strutting in bell bottoms, with neon fringe dangling from her jean jacket. The 49-year-old singer knew the crowd wanted the "yodel" she's known for in her earlier career, and she gave them her hits like "Foolish Games," "You Were Meant For Me," and "Who Will Save Your Soul."
