Lincoln-Way Central High School announced recently with pride its 64 Illinois State Scholars for the 2013 school year.

“We are extremely proud of our students who qualified this year. This is quite an honor. Congratulations to all 64 students. They have worked hard to improve their academic achievement. The top 10% of Illinois High School graduates earn the Illinois State Scholar recognition,” noted Dr. Steve Provis, principal, Lincoln-Way Central.

Eligibility requirements to be named a State Scholar include: be a U.S. citizen; Illinois resident; and the combination of their exemplary college entrance examination scores and their record of high school achievement qualified our students for this recognition, added Provis.
