Man Arrested Twice In Same Day For Different Crimes: Police
The New Lenox man was charged first for assault and later for disorderly conduct.
NEW LENOX, IL — A New Lenox man was arrested twice, on separate charges, within a three-hour period Sept. 30, according to police reports.
Robert A. Lichamer, 36, of the 1200 block of Town Crest Drive, was first arrested and charged with assault, according to police. New Lenox police were in the area of Lichamer's address at approximately 9:12 p.m. for an unrelated incident, police said. While leaving the area, someone came up and told the officer that Lichamer threatened to injure a juvenile male, according to police. The officer talked to the juvenile and Lichamer, and then placed Lichamer under arrest, according to police.
Lichamer was taken to New Lenox police department, posted bond and was released.

Later, at approximately 11:53 p.m., police responded to a call for a person who was loitering at a business on Cedar Road, police said. Upon arrival, police encountered Lichamer again. The caller told police that Lichamer was harassing customers and had gotten into an altercation with two of them, according to police. Lichamer was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, police said. Lichamer again posted bond and was released, police said.
