Man Spits In Faces Of Silver Cross Staff, Charged With Battery: NLPD
The incident happened Sunday, Feb. 11 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. The man also had several warrants out for his arrest.

NEW LENOX, IL — A Joliet man faces charges after police say he spit in the faces of staff at Silver Cross Hospital while being treated there Sunday.
Police were called Sunday at 10 p.m. to the hospital, after staff told police that a male patient had spat in their faces while they were treating him, according to police reports.
Police learned that Saul Pina-Merced, 42, had three warrants in his name. He was taken into custody as he was being released the next day, according to reports.

Warrants for Pina-Merced included one for domestic battery for an incident in Orland Park, one for aggravated DUI and violation of an order of protection issued by Cook County Sheriff's Office, and one for failure to appear for a traffic offense in Will County.
Pina-Merced was charged with aggravated battery for the incident and Silver Cross.

He was taken to the Will County jail.
