New Lenox Mom Shares the Real Life Story of Raising an Autistic Child in a Book

New Lenox mom's book, "The Thinking Moms' Revolution: Autism Beyond the Spectrum," is aimed at informing parents about a connection between autism and vaccinations.

Lisa Goes, of New Lenox, is an author as well as an activist in a year-old group, The Thinking Moms' Revolution, working to promote caution when having a child vaccinated.

One of 24 members in the group, Goes tells in a book she co-authored the real-life stories of her 8-year-old son, Noah, whose multipronged problems began with a routine vaccination.

A Jan. 24 story in the SunTimesMedia offers a glimpse of the Goes Family's difficulties dealing with a child diagnosed with a severe form of autism. Armed with details that trace the diagnosis to inoculations, she is working to alert the public.
