New Lenox Police Dept, Public Library Open As Cooling Centers
The U.S. National Weather service has issued a heat advisory for north central and northeast Illinois, and northwest Indiana.
NEW LENOX, IL — The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday and noon-7 p.m. Wednesday, with temperatures feeling like close to 110 degrees with the heat index in some areas.
The New Lenox Police Department, 200 Veterans Parkway, is open as a cooling center, as well as the New Lenox Public Library, 120 Veterans Parkway.
