New Lenox Restaurant Week Kicks Off, 19 Spots To Check Out

NEW LENOX, IL — The spotlight will fall on New Lenox businesses this week, as Restaurant Week 2023 rolls from Sept. 5–12. Residents are nudged to eat out to show support for local favorites.

In the effort sponsored by the Village of New Lenox and New Lenox Chamber of Commerce, participating restaurants offer various deals, specials, or discounts. Check out the list below.

Some spots—like Arrowhead Ales Brewing Company, 2101 Calistoga Dr.—will offer special menu items for the occasion.

"Chef Dustin really wanted to introduce himself to our loyal patrons in the most delicious and creative way, showing his culinary skill set and his ability to build a diverse seasonal menu which may be a hint at new things to come from our team," Arrowhead staff shared on social media.

Chicago Dough Company, 1080 E. Lincoln Highway, will offer a deal to buy one pizza, get an appetizer for free (with some exclusions). The restaurant also on Friday kicked off its Battle of the Badges Pizza Showdown, with the New Lenox Police Department, New Lenox Fire Department, and Laraway Communication Center Dispatchers facing off in a charitable pizza contest from Sept. 1–30. The department with the most sales of their unique specialty pizza wins $500 for their chosen charity, with their pizza also becoming a limited time offering from Oct. 1–Dec. 31, and 15 percent of sales going to their department.

And at American Legion Thomas Hartung Post 1977, enjoy 20 percent off, with a performance from dueling pianos Saturday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.

At Gina's Teardrop Cafe, 826 W. Laraway Rd., get buy one/get one specialty drinks including mimosas, Bloody Mary, Tequila Sunrise, Screwdriver, Bailey's and coffee/hot chocolate.
