Old Favorites, New Additions In Store For New Lenox Summer Events
The Village of New Lenox recently announced its lineup of events for the summer.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox last week unveiled its lineup of summer events, keeping some favorites with some new ones set to debut at the New Lenox Commons,
Returning are the well-liked Cruise the Commons, Movie Nights, Fridays After Five, and Triple Play concert series. New this year are "Food Fight" and "Adult" Movie Nights.
Set for July 15, "Food Fight: Taco Fest" will pit local restaurants against each other in a taco showdown. Attendees will sample the tacos and vote on their favorites. The event will include live music and kids' activities.

"Adult" Movie Nights aren't what you're thinking—get your minds out of the gutter—but instead, non-kids' movies aimed at providing a night away for a girls' night or date night. Charcuterie boards and wine will be available for purchase. These movie events are set for June 29, with "Top Gun: Maverick," July 27 with "Mean Girls," and August 31 with "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
The Village's special events series kicked off May 7, with the Loyalty Day Parade. Next up is the first Cruise the Commons, to be held May 16 at 5 p.m., with music from One Foot In.

In June, don't miss Live on the Lawn June 4 at 6 p.m, with music from the New Lenox Community Band. The first Movie Night is scheduled a few days later, with "Lightyear" set to hit the screen June 7 at 8:30 p.m.
The Fray kicks off the Triple Play series June 10.
