Parent's Choice Rally Planned For Saturday In New Lenox
The event is being promoted on social media as a rally "to choose what is best for the health of our children."
NEW LENOX, IL — Political hopeful Jack Lombardi is organizing a Parent's Choice Rally to be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday in The Village Commons in New Lenox. The event is being promoted on social media as a rally "to choose what is best for the health of our children," in regards to the statewide mask mandate for all K-12 schools and daycares issued by Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
"Governor Pritzker has yet again overstepped by issuing a mandate that all school teacher must get the vax," a statement on the event's Eventbrite page reads. "We as Illinois residents must not comply with such mandates and stand by our teachers and students."
Lombardi is a candidate for U.S. Congress in Illinois' 16th District, which does not cover New Lenox. The 16th District is currently held by U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger.
