Take Your Best Shot: Contest For 'Best Of New Lenox' Photo Calendar

NEW LENOX, IL — Scroll through your camera rolls or clean off your lens, New Lenox.

The Village is inviting residents to enter its first annual photo contest depicting "The Best Of New Lenox," with winning photos to be compiled in a 2025 calendar.

What you need to know:

• Anyone is eligible to participate. Each participant may submit up to a maximum of four images. All images should be taken within New Lenox.
• All photos must be in color and in horizontal format, and must be accompanied by a caption describing the image as well as the photographer's name. Photos must have been taken somewhere within New Lenox. Please do not submit images including people’s faces unless you’ve obtained proper permissions.
• All entries must be a minimum of 5 megapixels in resolution at an 8 x 12 size in order to be accepted.
• Entries may be submitted in person at the New Lenox Village Hall, emailed (see information below), or sent on a thumb drive via U.S. Mail.
• There is no guarantee that photo prints or thumb drives will be returned, so please do not submit original files without saving copies first.

All entries for the 2025 calendar must be received no later than Sept. 13. Thirteen photos will be selected, and all winning photographers will be notified prior to December 2.
