First Snow Storm of the Season Coming: Keep Updated Here on Conditions in New Lenox

A winter storm is coming from the West and headed for New Lenox.

A winter storm is predicted to hit New Lenox tonight. A 1-inch accumulation of the white stuff is expeced to come down, according to AccuWeather.

Wednesday temperatures are expected to hover around 43 degrees, and drop to 38 degrees by tonight. Expect traffic delays beginning in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Romeoville, in a special statement, said, "Anyone who plans on traveling across the Midwest Wednesday night through Thursday night should be prepared for difficult travel ... especially for areas west and north of Chicago."

High winds, as much as 50 mph, are expected to accompany the storm, according to the National Weather Service in Romeoville.
