Work Continues On Roundabout, Portion Of Haven Avenue Closed: Village

NEW LENOX, IL — Preparations for a roundabout at Cedar Road and Haven Avenue in New Lenox continue, with utility work shifting to the intersection Monday.

AT&T is on-site Monday, with work on the intersection planned to start Tuesday, June 25. The work will require the closure of this section of Haven Avenue, officials said Monday. A detour consisting of Joliet Highway to Nelson Road to Rte 30 back to Cedar Road will be posted. Drivers should follow the signs.

Local traffic will be allowed for residents and businesses in the impacted area.

Officials announced the incremental work earlier this month, saying that drivers should be aware of detours and increased construction activity in the area. They said the work was expected to take 3-4 weeks.
