Man, 60, Shot Dead At Home In Niles: Police
Police said a person has been taken into custody following the Thursday evening incident.
NILES, IL — A 60-year-old Niles man was shot and killed Thursday night at a home in the 8400 block of Greenwood Avenue. Police said a person involved in the shooting is in custody.
At around 5:40 p.m., Niles police were notified of a man with a gun and that shots had been fired at the home. Upon arrival, police found a victim that had been shot, who was subsequently pronounced dead.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicates the incident was isolated between the two men, with no threat to the public.

The investigation of this incident is being conducted by the Niles Police Department Investigations Division with the assistance of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force.
