Man Shot Dead In Niles Sunday Night, Police Say
Officers found a 26-year-old Chicago man with multiple gunshot wounds at Harlem and Chase avenues.

NILES, IL — A man died after he was shot outside a dollar store in Niles Sunday, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched to a report of "man down" near the intersection of Harlem and Chase avenues shortly after 9 p.m., according to Niles police.
Police said they found a man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The wounded man was found at the nearby dollar store, according to the office of the Cook County medical examiner, which was scheduled to conduct an autopsy of the man on Monday. He was later identified as Billy J. Parker, 26, who lived nearby in Chicago's Edison Park neighborhood.
Niles police called in assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force, or NORTAF, with the homicide investigation. No one was in custody as of Monday morning, police said.
