Milwaukee Avenue in Niles was seen to be blocked off to traffic in both directions from Golf down to Dempster

At approximately 5pm Milwaukee Avenue in Niles was seen to be blocked off to traffic in both directions from Golf down to Dempster due to an auto accident.

Only one vehicle was seen on scene at such time, but debris did litter the road across from Chasers Sports Bar at Milwaukee & Ballard as well as Chateau Ritz, just north of Chasers on Milwaukee.

No word from police as to the nature or extent of the accident, as the officer who instructed this reporter to 'get out of his crime scene' refused comment when asked for information.
