North Suburban YMCA Welcomes the Community to Its Annual “Fall Fest”

Free to the community the Trunk or Treat Event will be held on October 13 from 1 to 3 pm

Northbrook, IL; September 2024; The entire community is invited to the North Suburban YMCA’s Fall Fest for a day of family fun, trick or treating, games, and music. This free event presented by Allstate, Illinois Bone and Joint, Wintrust Community Banks and Waterway Carwash will be held on Sunday, October 13 from 1 to 3 pm at the Y’s outdoor campus located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook. IL.

A favorite is back, and the Y will have their Trunk or Treat located in the Y’s large parking area. Families and kids are encouraged to come dressed in costume where the Trunk or Treat participants will have fun with children’s activities including games and passing out packaged candy. There will be a costume contest for children under 12 and a “Most Creative Vehicle” Contest where someone will win a trophy and a prize. Non-profit organizations may also participate at no cost. Other Fall Fest features include Music by Bach to Rock, bounce houses, carnival food and costume contest. Water, popcorn and other concessions will be available for purchase at Fall Fest, but outside food and drinks are not allowed.

“We are so proud of this event and hope the turn-out is similar to last year, which we had over a thousand people joining in on the Halloween fun,” said Kim Nyren, NSYMCA Director of Community Investments and Events. “Our Y is committed to strengthening our community, and free events likes these bring together multigenerational families. Whether you are a business who wants to market your services or a volunteer who wants to decorate your vehicle and pass out candy, events like these are so important to our community.”
