Two Vehicle Collision in Niles Friday Night
A red Toyota & black Honda collided on Milwaukee Avenue at approximately 9pm
A red Toyota & black Honda collided on Milwaukee Avenue at approximately 9pm Friday night.
The accident occurred at Milwaukee & Monroe, by Rosati's pizza & Booby's restaurant.
A witness who is also a Maine Township trustee witnessed the accident and gave the account of the Honda attempting to cross multiple lanes of traffic, essentially cutting in front of the rapidly approaching Toyota. The driver of the Toyota Camry was able to swerve just enough to avoid making the impact a full-on T-bone and more of a 'side swipe' type of accident.

Niles emergency services were on site within minutes and the Honda was taken away on a flatbed tow truck. The Camry appeared to be driveable.
No word on injuries, but it appeared that no one was transported to any hospitals.
