Crime summary: $10,000 worth of scarves stolen from Burberry in Oak Brook

There were four other incidents of theft in the week before black Friday

Police received a report that 24 scarves, sold for $435, for a total of $10,440, were stolen from the Burberry store in Oak Brook Center on the afternoon of November 20, according to The Doings and Oak Brook Police reports. The suspect is unknown.

There have been three incidents of theft at the Macy's at Oakbrook Center

Fourty-four-year-old Larnishia Johnson, of Chicago, was charged with taking $12.95 worth of merchandise on the evening of 18 November.

Deshawn Thomas, a 24-year-old from Bellwood, has been charged with stealing merchandise priced at nearly $350 on November 21.

The next day, 19-year-old Joey Gonzalez from Round Lake was charged with taking almost $150 worth of merchandise.

Also on 22 November, 37-year-old Kathleen Griffin from Villa Park stole unspecified items from the REI on 22nd Street in Oak Brook Terrace.
