Oak Forest Residents Pay More For Water Beginning May 1
The Oak Forest City Council approved the rate increase last week.
OAK FOREST, IL — Oak Forest residents will pay more for water and sewer services beginning May 1, after officials last week approved the increase.
The Oak Forest City Council signed off on the increase to offset the cost of operations and an increase from its suppliers—the City of Chicago and Village of Oak Lawn.
The city's revenue policies require that the city's water and sewer fund "must be a self-supporting one," officials said in a release.
