Early voting starts June 13th till June 27th in Suburban Cook County.

16 Reasons to Vote Early

  1. You can update your voter information including your name and address
  2. Avoid long lines at the polling place on election day
  3. There’s no longer any reason to blame inclement weather on election day for not voting
  4. Transportation issues
  5. If you have a Driver’s License or your State Id has your current address you get processed faster and more accurately using the ID scanners at all Suburban Cook County polling places
  6. You will be able to vote when the mood strikes you during regular business hours (Monday to Saturday 9 am - 5 pm, Sundays 10 am till 5 pm)
  7. A family member could be sick or you have child-care conflicts and they need your care on Election Day
  8. You could get to your polling place at the last minute and find out it’s not your polling place anymore, early voting locations are equipped to handle all Suburban Cook County polling places
  9. If you need voting assistance such as a family member or election judge to help you vote.
  10. Register your 17-year-old child who turns 18 by the next general election in the fall (two pieces of ID will be required one must include their current address)
  11. You’re an Election Judge working on Election Day
  12. You can take as much time as you need to cast your vote
  13. If the election is just too important for you to leave any chance that you might not be able to vote
  14. On Vacation or on a Business Trip
  15. Easier to research who the candidates are and what referendums are on your ballot
  16. The best reason of all is to vote early to secure your vote, so no one else can use your vote!
