From the track to the field, from the court to the course, this season’s Knights teams have shown they are Built Different—driven, resilient, and relentless in their pursuit of excellence.
Tennis: Emmy Manasses Qualifies for IHSA State Tennis Tournament; Team Finishes Fantastic Season
The Knights Girls’ Tennis Team capped off a fantastic season, finishing with a 13-4 overall record and a 10-4 tournament mark. With seven seniors providing strong leadership, the team grew tremendously throughout the season—balancing competition with camaraderie and plenty of fun along the way.

One of the season’s standout moments came from Manasses, who earned her spot in the IHSA State Tennis Tournament with an incredible postseason run. Emmy, a junior who began playing competitively just last year, showed exceptional growth and mental toughness on the court.
At sectionals, Emmy delivered a memorable performance against Marion Catholic—an opponent who had beaten her earlier in the year. This time, she turned the tables, displaying her trademark focus and determination to secure a win and finish second in sectionals, punching her ticket to state.

Her journey was filled with highlight moments, including a comeback victory over Joliet Catholic, where she rallied from 0–4 down to win 12 games in a row. “She wasn’t going to lose,” Coach Megan Perez said, reflecting on Emmy’s competitive spirit. At state, Emmy battled through an intense 3½-hour match against Timothy Christian, pushing it to a third-set tiebreaker before falling just short—a true testament to her endurance and grit.
The team also celebrated success across the board, including an undefeated run at the Marion Quad by the first doubles team of Holland Winthrop and Amaris Williams. The girls notched close wins against Lisle and Immaculate Conception, showing their resilience and team unity throughout the season.
With four returning players and a strong foundation built on experience, teamwork, and heart, the future looks bright for Knights Girls’ Tennis.
Cross Country: Knights Girls Cross Country Caps Off Remarkable Season with Strong State Finish
The Knights Girls Cross Country Team wrapped up another outstanding season with a strong showing at the IHSA State Championships, finishing 18th overall and celebrating lifetime bests from five of their seven runners. It was the perfect ending to a season defined by teamwork, perseverance, and faith — all glory to God!
The Knights earned their trip to state with a tremendous performance at the Lisle Sectional on November 1, where they placed 4th overall, finishing just seven points behind first place. This remarkable result marked the eighth time in the last twelve years that the Knights have qualified for the IHSA State Meet — a true testament to the program’s consistency and competitive spirit.
Their postseason success began at the Bishop McNamara Regional, where the team captured the Regional Championship in thrilling fashion, edging Manteno by just three points. It was a gutsy, total team effort that showcased the Knights’ depth and determination. The squad was led by senior captains Kihra Moes (3rd place) and Mia Caporale (7th place), both of whom set the tone with their leadership and strong performances. The win marked the Knights’ second Regional title in three years.
From start to finish, the season was filled with standout performances, hard work, and heart. With a talented group returning next year and a culture built on faith and teamwork, the future is bright for Knights Cross Country.

Soccer: Knights Soccer Caps Off a Historic Season
The Knights boy's soccer team delivered one of the most thrilling and memorable seasons in program history. Known for their fast-paced, unselfish style of play, the Knights wowed fans all year with their crisp passing, relentless teamwork, and never-quit attitude.

Under the leadership of Coach Danny Mack and Assistant Coach Josh Lenarz, the Knights played exciting, disciplined soccer all season long. Their commitment to teamwork and smart play helped the team reach new heights and set a standard for future Knights squads.
Early in the season, the Knights made a statement by capturing the Rival Cup in Manteno, showcasing their talent and determination with some of the most exciting soccer of the year. That momentum carried through the season as the team battled tough competition and continued to grow stronger with every match.
Their hard work paid off in the postseason. On October 24, the Knights were crowned Regional Champions after defeating Peotone in a thrilling 1-0 overtime victory. The win improved their record to 18-7, tying the school record for most wins in a season and sending them to the Coal City Sectional.
On October 28, the Knights gave everything they had in a hard-fought 1-0 loss to end their incredible run. Though the match didn’t go their way, the team left it all on the field, displaying the heart of champions.
The Knights finished the year with an 18-8 record, advancing further than any team in recent memory and leaving behind a legacy of teamwork, sportsmanship, and heart.

Football: Knights showed relentless heart and determination all season

Football, moving up a class this year, faced new challenges but played tough and never gave up. Every game was a display of heart and perseverance, proving that the Knights never back down. Standout performances were recognized as All-Conference CCC 2025 honors went to Josh Crawford, RB/LB (Senior), and Junior Henry Jager, DB/WR, highlighting the skill and dedication that defined the season. The Knights capped Senior Night with a dominating 45-0 victory and closed out their last home game with a hard-fought 20-12 win, leaving fans proud of a season defined by heart and determination.
Golf: A season of dedication and passion
The Knights golf team has had a season full of dedication, teamwork, and growth. Every round on the course has been an opportunity to challenge themselves, support one another, and celebrate the love of the game. The Knights have shown perseverance, sportsmanship, and a true passion for golf, making this season one to remember both on and off the course.
Volleyball: Captures Sectional Title, Advanced to Mendota Super-Sectional

The Knights Volleyball team, under the direction of Head Coach Troy Grevengoed, continued its remarkable postseason run with a thrilling comeback victory over a talented Pontiac squad. After dropping the first set 17-25, the Knights battled back with determination and poise, taking the next two sets 25-23 and 25-17 to secure the Sectional Championship.
The win improved the Knights’ overall record to 29-10 on the season and marks another milestone in an already outstanding year. The team’s grit and resilience were on full display as they refused to back down against a tough opponent, earning their spot in the Mendota Super-Sectional.
Earlier in that week, the Knights claimed their eighth consecutive Regional Championship with a dominant performance against Sandwich, winning 25-12, 25-13. The victory showcased the team’s balance, teamwork, and depth—qualities that have defined their season under Coach Grevengoed’s leadership.
With momentum on their side, the Knights entered Monday - November 10th Super-Sectional in Mendota determined to secure a berth in the State Tournament. They competed with focus and determination throughout a hard-fought match but ultimately fell to the Riverdale team in three sets, 25–15, 22–25, 25–21. Though the loss brings their postseason run to an end, the Knights’ discipline and resilience were evident from start to finish, capping an impressive season they can be proud of.
