King Of One-Liners Andy Huggins To Perform At Our Lady At St. Germaine

OAK LAWN, IL — Our Lady at St.Germaine is bringing another national act to Oak Lawn when Houston comedy legend Andy Huggins takes the stage Friday, Feb. 7. The performance starts at 7 p.m. in the parish activity center at 9711 S. Kolin Ave., Oak Lawn.

Known as the king of one-liners, Huggins has opened for acts ranging from Ray Charles to Jeff
Foxworthy. He appeared on “America's Got Talent” and his new special can be seen on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. Andy also has a Don't Tell Comedy special, “Early Bird Special,” that was released in July 2024. Huggins is 74 years old and still getting after it.

Huggins came to Houston via L.A. and Virginia, where he joined the hallowed Texas Outlaw Comics in the mid-1980s. He’s known around Houston as a comedy legend, who, like Rodney Dangerfield, is finally getting some respect after 40 years.

The 74-year-old comic's comedy special, “Early Bird Special,” pokes fun at being a senior citizen, like partaking in early bird specials at 4:30 p.m., colonoscopies, senior dating sites and walking. While the build up starts innocently enough, the one-liners take twisted and surprising turns.

Tickets will be available at the early bird price of $40 through Jan. 20; after this date, tickets are $50. Reservations are being taken for tables of 10. The event is BYOB and food will be available for purchase. Buy tickets online.
