Raising Alzheimer's Awareness
Advocates from the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter Turn Capitol Hill Purple

Last month, thousands of my fellow advocates met with their congressional offices on Capitol Hill during the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement Advocacy Forum. We tirelessly continue our fight to live in a world that is Alzheimer's free, but for this, we still need more research and funding. This disease runs in my family and I will fight for the chance to enjoy and remember my dad's golden years alongside of him.
Alzheimer’s is not just a personal tragedy but a growing crisis that demands congressional action. At this point in our fight, we cannot afford not to fund the research that has provided hope to millions of Americans affected by Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Please join me in urging our bipartisan leaders in Congress, including Representative Sean Casten, to support an additional $113.485 million for research funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The time is now to not only invest in progress but invest in hope
There are over 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and 12 million caregivers, but behind these numbers are friends, family and loved ones—the reasons we fight. Together, we can bring an end to this devastating disease once and for all.
