Charges Allege Teacher Sexually Assaulted Underage Student
An Oak Park and River Forest High School teacher turned himself in Dec. 14 to police.

Chicago, IL - An English teacher at Oak Park and River Forest High School was arrested Dec. 14 after he turned himself in at the first district police station in Chicago.
Jeremy J Lind, 41 of the 700 block of N. Elmwood Avenue in Oak Park, was charged with criminal sexual assault, according to Chicago Police New Affairs.

Police report Lind had “inappropriate encounters with an underage victim.”
Lind’s charges include three felony counts of criminal sexual assault, four felony counts of traveling to meet a minor, four felony counts of indecent solicitation of a child and two felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, police reported.

Lind is scheduled for a bond hearing Dec. 15 at Central Bond Court, 2600 S. California.
Lind has been on administrative leave from the high school since Oct. 1, when allegations of misconduct between Lind and a student reached school officials, according to a statement from Oak Park and River Forest High School.
Oak Park and Chicago police have been investigating the allegations since.
