Chicago Senators, Representatives Talk Elementary Education Tuesday Tonight
The forum will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Percy Julian Middle School in Oak Park.
Oak Park Elementary School District 97’s fourth annual Legislator Discussion will take place at 7:30 p.m. this evening at Percy Julian Middle School.
C.L.A.I.M. (Committee for Legislative Action, Intervention and Monitoring) Your Voice is a forum in which lawmakers will discuss issues in elementary education.
Topics of discussion for the panel will include educating the whole child, education consistency, the creation of positive learning environments, school funding, student support and equitable education, among others.

The forum is sponsored by C.L.A.I.M., which is a committee of the school board of Oak Park District 97. Several community organizations, including the Oak Park Education Foundation and Collaboration for Early Childhood, are partnering with the committee to hold the event.
Participating lawmakers include Senator Don Harmon, Senator Kimberly Lightford, State Representative La Shawn Ford and State Representative Camille Lilly.
