Map: 13 Oak Park Divvy Bike Share Stations Approved

Proposed locations for Divvy bike share stations in Oak Park have been approved by the village board. Is there one near you?

Oak Park, IL - The location of 13 Divvy bike sharing stations in Oak Park have been selected.

The village board unanimously approved the preferred locations during its May 16 meeting.

  • Cuyler Avenue and Augusta Street
  • Humphrey Avenue and Ontario Street
  • Marion Street and South Boulevard
  • Oak Park Avenue and South Boulevard
  • Wisconsin Avenue and Madison Street
  • East Avenue and Madison Street
  • Lombard Avenue and Madison Street
  • Oak Park Avenue and Harrison Street
  • East Avenue and Garfield Street
  • Lombard Avenue and Garfield Street
  • Ridgeland Avenue and Lake Street/ alternative Ridgeland Avenue and North Boulevard
  • Forest Avenue and Lake Street


The board approved an intergovernmental agreement Feb. 16 with the City of Chicago to join Divvy, the Chicago-owned bike sharing system. These 13 stations represent the first phase of the project, according to village documents.

The Oak Park Bicycle Plan approved the approximate locations for the bike stations, but the village board had to give its final approval.

The grant to help fund Divvy stations in Oak Park provides for 80 percent of the costs of 12 stations. The grant is made up of federal dollars administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, said Jill Velan, director of parking and mobility services. The 13th station, at Augusta Street and Cuyler Avenue, was added at an additional cost.
