Medical Marijuana Tax Rejcted Unanimously by Oak Park Village Board
The tax may be revisited next year, if concerns are raised.

With sick people in need of medical marijuana in mind, the Oak Park Village Board unanimously voted Monday not to approve a proposed 6 percent tax on the legal drug.
Trustee Colette Lueck was not present when the 6 to 0 vote was cast against the tax, according to the Chicago Tribune, and the tax may be revisited next year, if concerns are raised.
The planned Seven Point dispensary at 1140 W. Lake St. in Oak Park may be ready to open by December or January, the Tribune reported.
