1. A man walking in the 300 block of Lake Street Nov. 1 was struck by a paintball from a passing SUV, injuring his right eye. Other incidents of aggravated battery and armed robbery are in this week’s crime report from the Oak Park Police Department. (OPPD)

2. Students at Lincoln and Beye elementary schools will receive their first doses of the pediatric Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine after school today. It is the first of eight vaccine clinics planned by the health department to vaccinate children 5-11. (Health Department)

3. The Village is asking for prompt response from Oak Park households who receive a letter about changing their water meters. The 30-minute installation will “greatly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the usage reading.” (VOP)

4. Oak Park Temple will remember Kristallnacht tonight at 7:30 p.m., both in person and online. Synagogue member Alan Hoffstadter will speak on the anniversary of the “Night of Broken Glass” in which thousands of Jews were brutalized across Europe on Nov. 9, 1938. (Temple)

5. Dominican University will host its annual Fair Trade Fair tomorrow in the Parmer Hall Atrium. The free event will feature 10 Chicago vendors who are dedicated to sustainability and fair wages. (Patch)
