Campus Reopens at Oak Park and River Forest High School

The Oak Park and River Forest High School campus has reopened after police determined there was no credible threat to the school.

Activities and movement at the school has resumed as usual, according to an email sent to parents.

A social media rumor about a weapon lead to the closure, but no weapons were found on campus.

No one may leave the campus of Oak Park and River Forest High School and visitors may not enter while police investigate a rumored threat Tuesday morning.

The decision to close the campus was made “in an abundance of caution,” according to an email sent to parents.

Classes are continuing as normal.
