1. Cellphone video captured a brawl in the lunchroom at Oak Park and River Forest High School Thursday, according to FOX. The footage was sent to FOX by an uncle of two students, who told the network a fight broke out after “some sort of bottle-throwing incident.” (FOX)

2. The Oak Park health department reported 92 new cases of COVID-19 in the village this week. Cases are down more than 20 percent from last week and have decreased more than 80 percent since late January. (VOP)

3. River Forest police responded to an attempted break-in Wednesday at a home in the 1500 block of Lathrop Avenue. “It appears the offender was unsuccessful at gaining entry to the residence,” police said in a statement. (VRF)

4. A man opened fire on employees inside the Thorntons Gas Station mini mart on Feb. 19, according to Forest Park police. Authorities said the shooting started after the customer was mischarged for gasoline. No one was injured. (Forest Park Review)

5. District 90 will not lift its mask mandate as school board members seek more information about how schools will manage future outbreaks of COVID-19. The board will meet March 1 to discuss a potential rule change. (Wednesday Journal)
