1. At least six rounds of gunfire damaged a bedroom window at a Washington Boulevard apartment building last week, according to the latest Oak Park Police Department crime report. No one was injured. (Paid source: Oak Leaves)

2. Masks are required at schools in Oak Park, River Forest, Elmwood Park and Franklin Park after some Illinois districts changed their rules Monday. More than 140 school districts are named in a lawsuit saying Gov. J.B. Pritzker “abused” his authority in mandating masks to protect students and staff from COVID-19. (Paid source: Oak Leaves)

3. Pritzker and the Illinois State Police are working together to reduce the number of expressway shootings by installing license plate readers and deploying more state troopers.
