Woman Sues Rush Oak Park Hospital, Alleges Malpractice

The suit alleges the woman's mother's injuries led to infection and death.

A woman is suing over claims that malpractice at Rush Oak Park Hospital led to her mother’s death.

Maxine Johnson filed a lawsuit in Cook County against THC-Chicago Inc., doing business as as Kindred Hospital-Chicago in Northlake and Rush Oak Park Hospital, according to the Cook County Record.

Johnson claims in the suit that her mother developed tissue injuries while she stayed at the hospitals, which allegedly led to infection and death, the Record reported.

Johnson is asking for damages in excess of $50,000.
