Allied First Bank Awards Scholarship Winners
Allied First Bank Gave out $20,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors at both Oswego high schools.
The following is from a release issued by Oswego's Allied First Bank:
Allied First Bank has awarded $20,000.00 in scholarships to students at Oswego High School and Oswego East High School again this year.
This marks the seventh year of the awards totaling nearly $150,000. Twenty $1,000 scholarship winners were chosen by a committee consisting of administrators, teachers and coaches at each high school for their outstanding scholastic and extra curricular performance.
Two scholarships were awarded in each of the following five categories at both high schools: General Academic, Athletics, Career & Technology, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. One male & one female were awarded a scholarship in each category. The winners were awarded at the Senior Awards Nights.
At Oswego High School, the winners of the Athletic scholarships were Jack Kwiatkowski and Ashley Golembeski. The Career and Technology scholarships were awarded to Christopher Boes and Breana Jones. Zachary Gardner and Nicole Arnold took home the General Academic scholarships. The Performing Arts scholarship was given to Nicole Arnold and Mary Watson. Finally, The Visual Arts scholarship was presented to Anthony Ashner and Anthony Ashner.
At Oswego East High School, the winners of the Athletic scholarships were Sean Kennedy and Brittany Brewer. The Career and Technology scholarships were awarded to Evan Tschida and Gail Baltar. Nolan Kopplin and Cassandra Ko won the General Academic scholarships. The Performing Arts scholarship was given to Kalin Reed and Mia McClintic. Finally, The Visual Arts scholarship was presented to Ryan Staelgraeve and Jamie Brewer.
