Attached Garage With 4 Cars Catches Fire, Spreads To House: Oswego FD
The house in Bristol Township was deemed uninhabitable after a fire is believed to have started in the attached garage, officials said.
OSWEGO, IL — An attached garage housing four cars caught fire Thursday night on West Rickard Drive in Bristol Township, officials said.
Ken-Com 911 received multiple calls just before 8 p.m. for a structure fire on the far west side of the Oswego Fire Protection District’s coverage area. The first crews to arrive found a fully involved fire that was quickly spreading into the house, according to a news release.
Firefighters launched an aggressive attack to put out the flames, with crews remaining on the scene for about five hours.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which was believed to have started in the attached garage, officials said. The house was deemed uninhabitable.
The incident remains under investigation by Oswego investigators and MABAS Division 15.

Oswego firefighters were assisted on the scene by crews from the Plainfield Sugar Grove, Bristol-Kendall and Little Rock-Fox fire departments. Aurora Township and Naperville fire departments provided district coverage during the incident.
