Baby Born in Oswego Parking Lot Just Like Her Dad

Little Hannah Pavlik was born in a parking lot like her dad, Frank, just one day shy of his birth 33 years ago.

A Yorkville family is apparently starting a new tradition: having a baby in a parking lot.

Early Saturday morning Yorkville resident Erica Pavlik and her mom were out driving when Pavlik felt her water break - 10 days early. They pulled over into the BP Gas Station on the corner of Route 34 and Orchard Road in Oswego, according to WGN.

Little baby Hannah Pavlik was born just a little later in the parking lot, with paramadics and Pavlik's husband, Frank, arriving soon afterwards.

"I’m just very blessed that they’re both ok and it worked out the way it did,” Frank Pavlik told WGN. He remarked he didn't think of the "amazing coincidence" until later when they were settled at the hospital.

The coincidence? Frank Pavlik was also a parking lot baby, just one day shy of 33 years to the date of his daughter's birth. He told WGN that he was his mother's third child and his mom thought she had time to get to the hospital. She ended up giving birth to him in the Joliet Mall parking lot.

“It’s a wonderful story that everything turned out ok," Erica Pavlik told WGN.
