Domestic Battery, DUI Over MLK Weekend In Oswego: Police

Driving while license suspended
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Brittany L. Pratt at 9:25 p.m. Monday on Orchard Road at IL Route 34 for an expired registration. The sheriff's office said during the traffic stop, Pratt's driver's license was found to be suspended. She was cited for driving while license is suspended and released, the sheriff's office said.

Sunday, Jan. 20
Domestic battery
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said an investigation is underway after deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery that took place in the 100 block of Circle Drive East at 11:33 p.m. Sunday.

Domestic battery
The Oswego Police Department reported 19-year-old Joseph Lee Coates, of the 120 block of Eisenhower Drive, was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Sunday at the above location. Coats is being accused in a domestic battery incident involving a 19-year-old female from Montgomery, according to police. His court date is set for Feb. 25.
Saturday, Jan. 19
DUI
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office reported 38-year-old David Rabadan, of the 20 block of Brockway Drive, was charged with DUI early Saturday morning at 3:30 a.m. According to the sheriff's office, rabadan was identified when deputies responded to the area of Plainfield Road and Simons Road at 1:32 a.m. for a vehicle in a ditch. The sheriff's office said deputies made contact with the Rabadan, the only one in the vehicle, and accused him of driving under the influence of alcohol. Rabadan was arrested and brought to the Kendall County Jail, and was later released on bond, the sheriff's office said.
Criminal damage to property
Oswego police said they're investigating criminal damage to property that occurred between 8 p.m., Jan. 18 and 8 a.m., Jan. 19 in the 4700 block of Route 71 near Paradise Parkway. Police said during this time frame an unknown subject tried to get inside the building and damaged the door frames. The incident was reported just after 2 p.m. Saturday, according to police, and the amount of damage is unknown at this time. Friday, Jan. 18
Cannabis delivery
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said 23-year-old Kyle A. Corum, of the 410 block of Reagan Drive, was sentenced as a weekender Friday on an adult felony charge. According to the sheriff's office, Corum was charged Jan. 4 with delivery of cannabis (more than 10 but less than 30 grams).
Stolen funds
Oswego police said they're investigating after an unauthorized charge was made on a checking account at 12 p.m., Jan. 16, and reported almost exactly two days later at 12:43 p.m., Jan. 18. Police said the fraudulent charge of $2,500 took place at 95 Wilson Place and Monroe Street. So far there are no suspects in this case, police said.
