Why go: The group is staging a reading of Suddenly Last Summer. There also will be a special performance by the Colonel Boyd's Dixie Band. The event is a fundraiser for the Oswego Playhouse

2. KENDALL WEEKLY TIMES FUNDRAISER FOR THE KENDALL COUNTY FOOD PANTRY
Where/When: , 4571 Route 71, 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday
Why go: Since the first of the year the resources of the food pantry have been exhausted because of increased need for this service as a product of the economic slowdown we all have had to deal with.
Price: $10 suggested donation

Why Go: Gerald Hamsmith gives a historic talk about the railroad, presented by Aurora Historical Society.

Why Go: They say they'll rock the house with live and heavy music.
