Holiday Week Drug Possession, Retail Theft In Oswego: Police

Oswego police, Kendall County Sheriff's Office report more 2018 holiday crime incidents in the Oswego area.

Dec. 27

Drug possession

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said 25-year-old Alexander C. Thompson, of the 3700 block of Wolf Road, Oswego, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis just after 11 p.m. Thursday. According to the sheriff's office, Thompson was charged for possession of more than 10 grams, but no more than 30 grams of cannabis. He was released on bond, officials said.

Retail theft

The Oswego Police Department is searching for a suspect in a retail theft investigation. Police said the incident happened in the 2400 block of Route 30 and Douglas Road at Sally Beauty Supply just after 7 p.m. Thursday. The suspect is described as a 25-year-old black male, 5'7' and 180 pounds. Police said the suspect reportedly has a scar on the left side of his face, was wearing black pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and drove a black Chrysler 300.

Dec. 26

Teen warrant arrest

Oswego police said 19-year-old Tanner M. Ryan, of the 800 block of S. Sparkle Court, was arrested just after 6:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Woolley Road on an in-state warrant charge. Police said he posted bond, but has a court date scheduled in DuPage County.

Domestic violence, criminal damage to property

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the 2000 block of S. Cannonball Trail on a report of domestic violence at 3:41 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27. Deputies said the incident took place the night before, at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The sheriff's office said during the Wednesday night incident, property was broken by a male juvenile. The sheriff's office said the incident remains under investigation.

Domestic battery

The KCSO said deputies responded to the 100 block of Braeburn Road in unincorporated Oswego Township on Christmas night for a report of a domestic battery between two male relatives. Police said this took place just after 10:15 p.m. No charges were filed that night.

Accident with injury

The KCSO said deputies responded to the 1400 block of Plainfield Road around 10 p.m. Christmas night for a single-vehicle accident involving minor injuries. The sheriff's office said the vehicle's only occupant, 30-year-old Mauricio Pasillas, of the 2000 block of Kettering Road, Hoffman Estates, was treated for minor injuries.
