Kathleen M. Schlegel, 42, was Very Involved with Youth Sports in Oswego

Kathleen M, Schlegel, age 42, of Oswego, IL died suddenly on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL as a result of injuries sustained in an auto incident. 

She was born December 4, 1970 in Waukegan, IL.

Kathy had just recently started working at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL as an intake clerk. She was very involved in youth sports activities in the Oswegoland area in various club and park district sports.

Kathy is survived by her husband Curtis, a nephew Kyle Floyd of Oswego, IL, two step sons Kyle and Craig Schlegel both of Oswego, IL, her mother Marianne Maynard of Oswego, IL, her father and step mother Larry and Adrienne Maynard of Oswego, IL, maternal grandmother Dolly Hicks of Oswego, IL, two sisters Ann (David) McCormick of Aurora, IL, Julie Floyd of Oswego, IL, a brother Garry Maynard of Oswego, IL, also several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Fred Hicks, paternal grandparents Lorraine and Jack Maynard, two uncles Steven Hicks and Garry Maynard. 

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded the wishes of the family.
