Knife Reportedly Brandished In Oswego Area Domestic Incident: Sheriff

No physical altercation or injuries were reported in the Oswego Township altercation, officials said.

OSWEGO, IL — A knife was reportedly brandished in a domestic altercation Sunday night in Oswego Township, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded at 10:52 p.m. to a residence in the 20 block of Shore Drive for a disturbance that "allegedly involved a kitchen knife being brandished," Deputy Dan Briars told Patch. No physical altercation or injuries were reported.

The person was later taken to an area hospital for a mental health evaluation, Briars said.

The incident, listed in Monday's blotter, is being investigated as aggravated assault. The case remains open.
