Letter to the Editor: Amanda Mancke Asks for Your Vote
Send your letter to the editor to steven.jack@patch.com

As I have walked throughout our community and connected with voters, I have learned so much.
I have learned that most everyone is looking for someone who has integrity and will be responsive to the residents when issues arise. I have learned that many of our residents are concerned about taxes, and support responsible development as one solution.
As Village Trustee, I pledge to be a good steward of our tax dollars. But I will be much more. I will be responsive to the needs and concerns of our residents. I will be an active and involved member of the community and will seek out opportunities to communicate with residents and increase transparency in government. As a mother of young children, I will also strongly support Public Safety initiatives to provide the best environment for our children to grow and all residents to prosper.

I support examining ALL options to improve our downtown. I will work to find ways to replace the money generated by the sales tax increase so that we may repeal it. I will think and act independently, while still respecting the ideas and opinions of all who will be affected by my decisions.
We are not simply taxpayers. We are a community of residents who want forward-thinking professionals working on their behalf to use their tax dollars wisely, enhance their quality of life, and move Oswego forward. I respectfully ask for your vote on April 5 to serve you as Village Trustee.
